My birthday is on Tuesday. I'm renting out Chuck E. Cheese and inviting nobody. These songs are good, though.

Here are a few tunes to help you feel cool on a hot summer day in the city. Start off with some California Soul and end with a Revolution.

My list is comprised of some older tracks, many of which I had never heard before. I compiled it one evening by starting with TV on The Radio and clicking 'I like this' on the music player whenever I ran across something interesting.

I impart these songs to you as I would if I was on the cover of Sonic Youth's "Goo"--I'd saunter by all murderous and leather-jacket clad, my sister's boyfriend on my arm, both of us ensconced in a cloud of cigarette smoke. I'd reach into the lining of my jacket and pull out a burnt CD, chuck it at you all "FUCK YOU" and wink, "sample my wares". I don't know. These songs just make me feel that cool.
