BioAfter arriving in Los Angeles last year, producer/ DJ Peter "Peas" McEvilley set up a studio in Hollywood and has completed several projects that range from drum and bass remixes for Miramax's film, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind to a full length electronica/ downtempo CD, Peas Filters Kitaro, set for release on Domo Records in April. He also scored an entire 13 episode Japanese Anime, Ninja Scroll, and is producing an all female pop/ rock group from South Beach, Miami.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Peter was classically trained as a pianist and percussionist. After winning several music awards during high school, he moved to Miami with a full scholarship to New World School of the Arts. He spent the next few years touring with the reggae band "Inna Sense." During this time he developed his skills as a producer and DJ. As a DJ, McEvilley has performed at some of South Beach's hottest clubs and parties (Chaos' millennium New Year's party, Nikki Beach Club, Pearl, Rumi, Touch, and Automatic Slim's). As a producer he has worked with Grammy award winning producer, Narada Michael Walden on several projects, and he produced and wrote for Hollywood Records recording artist, Myra as well as several Japanese artists on Toys Factory Records. McEvilley also produced dance music for the feature film, Trick and is a regular contributor to ABC's music library.
