BioWriting about academic hyperpolitical hyperbrain and supergenius Noam Chomsky is a dangerous thing; you're guaranteed to offend at least 110% of the world it seems, from his rabid college age fans who'll debate every angle of anything, up to angry conservatives who discredit 'liberal ivory tower intellectuals.'
Words like ontological, paradigm and stuff like that hang around this guy like flies.
Somehow, if he was required reading in the United States, one couldn't help wonder that the world would, as a result, be a better place, by expanding the pool of dialogue. He has a brilliant knack for commenting deeply on things that the mainstream federal politicians in both big parties refuse to mention, and says stuff that would never be allowed on the corporate TV networks.
If he was ever imprisoned or assassinated by government agents, you'd know for sure you were living in a totalitarian military police state. Fortunately, he's still alive and a free man. But one has to wonder sometimes.
