BioHailing from Queen’s, New York, Diamond Nights were founded by longtime pals Morgan Phalen and Tim Traynor. In 2001, the pair began making music fuelled by Morgan’s Stevie Wonder/Sly Stalone-infused voice. The spring of 2002 saw them assemble a drum kit, employ other musicians (Rob Laakso and S.D. Rumsey) and set off for world domination. The fellowship thus formed, the foursome were promptly signed by Kemado Records, who recognised their potential for forging the modern path of rock in the vein of Thin Lizzy, Cheap Trick and T-Rex.
