The Concrete is Always Greyer on The Other Side of the Street, the first EP from Vietnam is not what you'd expect from just another rock band. But isn't that what rock and roll is all about, walking contradictions, defying expectations, living down the legend? "Princess", the most outstanding of the lot, slides in like a hangover that just makes you want to drink even more. "Makes No Difference", the cornerstone piece, Ten Minutes Thirty Eight Seconds, light a cigarette or two and relax, this one takes sinking in. "ApocLAlypse", a disaster, this is the band at their lowest ‘cuz getting higher is not really an option. "Too Tired," an introduction, welcome to the beginning of the end. Ending with "Lullabye," the final kiss off, surrender has never sounded so sweet.
