Drawing on diverse influences from Cole Porter to Michael Stipe, as woven with the distinct local flavors of his various hometowns, Little's blend of cinematic lyrics and winding melodies are unmistakeably his own. His debut solo album, "Dare To Be Small," produced by Richard McLaurin (Billy Jo Shaver, Malcom Holcombe), and Neilson Hubbard (Garrison Starr, Mack Starks) is set for a late April, 2005 release, and is already drawing comparisons to the poetic musings and pop productions of Wilco and Elliot Smith. A refreshing departure from the steady stream of acoustic roots albums manufactured by Music City singer-songwriters, "Dare To Be Small" exchanges mandolins and fiddles for quirky loops and analog synths, using moody and spacious production techniques to compliment his arresting voice and quirky stories of love and life lost.
